Behavioral Services

Our Clinical Department play a critical role in supporting students with behavioral and developmental needs.

Our School Therapists and Counselors provide comprehensive mental health services to support students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs. They offer individual and group therapy, counseling sessions, and social skills training.

With services rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our Behaviorists focus on both academic and behavioral interventions. In working collaboratively with teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and related service providers, they ensure students can access their educational programs effectively.

Counseling Services

Our team of skilled professionals, including Certified School Psychologists and School Social Workers, provide comprehensive mental health services to support students’ emotional, social, and behavioral needs. These services may include individual and group counseling sessions, as well as social skills training.

Our School Social Workers and Psychologists work with students to enhance their social and emotional skills while in a school setting. Depending on the student's grade level, this may involve helping them to better understand relationships, to make wise choices, to explore career options, and to develop into well-rounded individuals. Our staff meet with students individually or in groups to address specific challenges and promote their overall well-being.

Additionally, School Social Workers and Psychologists serve as a liaison between home and school, providing support and guidance to parents. They work with families to improve the home environment, while addressing concerns about schoolwork, behavior, and attendance. Our team also collaborates with external agencies, including DCPP, Bergen Promise, and others, to implement a comprehensive approach and enhance student success.

We partner with parents to support students both at home and in the community, providing resources, training, and guidance at every stage of their child's educational journey.
