Theresa Gallagher, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCBA
Theresa Gallagher received her BA in Speech Pathology from Douglass College, Rutgers University and her MS in Speech Pathology from Rutgers University Graduate School – New Brunswick. Additionally, she completed the post-master’s course series in applied behavioral analysis at the Graduate School of Applied Psychology, Rutgers University. She has over 34 years of experience working in the field of speech-language pathology (assessment and treatment) across the life span in various settings and has expertise in multiple specialty areas. She has mentored numerous individuals working toward attainment of either their certificate of clinical competency in speech-language pathology or their board certification as behavior analysts. For the past 21 years, she has worked at the South Bergen Jointure Commission as a speech-language pathologist and has had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students with Autism and other developmental disabilities how to functionally communicate either by speaking or via alternate methods of communication. She is a strong believer in a transdisciplinary approach to education and works collaboratively with her students, their families, administrators, teachers, and other related services staff to assist the students in maximizing their learning potential and independence. She often advocates on behalf of her students. On a daily basis, she is inspired by her students, their families, and her many talented co-workers. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loving family and her adorable puppy, Lily.
