    Behavioral Supports

The SBJC Middle/High School prioritizes a safe and positive environment for all students, faculty, and staff. We achieve this through a multi-layered approach:

    • Experienced Staff: Our Behavioral Health Department is comprised of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Behavior Specialists, School Counselors and Social Workers.
    • Applied Behavior Analysis: Teachers utilize proven techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis to address individual needs effectively.
    • Ongoing Training: Our BCBAs conduct ongoing, on-the-job trainings on ABA principles, equipping staff with the latest strategies.
    • Positive Reinforcement: The SBJC Rewards System is a school-wide program that acknowledges and rewards positive student behavior. This system encourages desired actions while fostering problem-solving and strategic thinking skills to prevent negative behavior.
