The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families is always the South Bergen Jointure Commission’s highest priority. When severe or inclement weather impacts our area, SBJC is committed to providing clear, accurate, and timely communication regarding school closures, delayed openings, or schedule adjustments.
To ensure families and staff receive the most up-to-date information, the district uses the following communication methods during weather-related events:
- District Website: Important alerts and announcements will be posted prominently on the SBJC website.
- Phone, Text, and Email Notifications: Automated calls, text messages, and emails will be sent using the contact information given to us on the student emergency contact form. Please ensure your information is current.
- Local News Outlets: School closing information may also be shared with local television news stations (e.g., News 12 NJ and other major networks).
- Social Media: Updates will be posted on SBJC’s official social media platforms. Families are encouraged to follow SBJC accounts for timely notifications.
