Our students’ ages range from 3 to 21 years old, and 100% of our students have Individual Education Programs (IEPs). The 300 staff members who work with our students every day are committed to our students’ success, and each member of our team—whether paraprofessional, related service provider, or teacher—plays an important role in ensuring our students make the achievements they need to move to the next stage of their academic career.
Training in RBT and ABA
Under the guidance of our district Behaviorists, our Team Approach Model empowers all staff to track progress using the Registered Behavior Technician Task List and fosters a growth mindset in their learning of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
State-leading Special Service Program for ERI and Autism
As a public special needs school district, the SBJC has been serving students of northern New Jersey for 30 years. We currently have two main campuses, six inclusion annexes, and six push-in inclusion classrooms spread out throughout eight towns in Bergen as well as neighboring counties.
Stable and Secure Enrollment
Our enrollment has remained on course for the last five years. With an ambition to continue the expansion of our program, we expect enrollment numbers to grow in the years to come.
