  • Principal's Note: October 2019

Throughout the month of October, we are practicing the concept of RESPECT. It is being stressed to our students that the word “respect” means to appreciate everyone whom we meet. On Monday, October 7th we initiated the Week of Respect. Each day of the week a different respect-based theme was celebrated. Many students received Student Achievement Award Certificates in recognition of their “Doing the Right Thing.”

  • Student Spotlight: October 2019

We’re proud to announce Stalin for our Student Spotlight of October 2019. This student has been a part of SBJC since 2016 and a part of the steam team for the same amount of time. He enjoys wrestling, gaming and is an avid reader. At home he helps takes care of his two younger sisters along with his pet guinea pig named Luna! Another thing to note is that his birthday is this month, so next time you pass by this legend feel free to wish him a happy birth month! He also wishes to be quoted saying, “Mr. Rossi is a great principal...I am excited about the new programs at SBJC!”

  • Lodi Campus September Newsletter

We have gotten off to a fine start this new school year. Two new teachers have joined our staff: Ms. Nancy Chun, middle school social studies, and Ms. Nicole Bevacqua, high school math. Ms. Tiffany Hughes is our new behaviorist. Fifteen new paraprofessionals were welcomed as they join our staff. We have expanded our CBI (Community Based Instruction) Program to two afternoons a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. We will still go out on inclement weather days. Please have your son or daughter dressed accordingly on those days. Our congratulations to Dr. Mark Raum, one of our physical therapists, on being awarded the 2019 Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) Environmental Awareness Challenge Grant. He has been invited to check presentation ceremony on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10 AM at Bergen Community College.

To kick off the event, SBJC Lodi staff faced off in an epic basketball game that ended in a double OT 28-28 tie. It was followed by a student vs. student game of equally epic proportions, as well as an awesome display of sportsmanship.
